1 Year After July 16, 2022: Lunch Out Loud on TV5 is now Tropang LOL, ABS-CBN's It's Showtime, began simulcasting on TV5
It's been one year since July 16, 2022, when two of the Philippine TV Variety Shows made a big change, when TV5's Lunch Out Loud was renamed to Tropang LOL and moved its timeslot to 11h00, as well as it's first day of simulcast on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z, along with Kapamilya Online Live. It was also the day when TV5 began simulcasting ABS-CBN's It's Showtime, right after Tropang LOL, when the clocks tick at 12h45.
Tropang LOL aired its final broadcast in April 29, 2023, and it has been replaced by Face 2 Face on TV5's 11h00 Timeslot on May 1, 2023, with It's Showtime moved back to it's original timeslot of 12h00 as well. But for It's Showtime's Simulcast on TV5 only lasted for almost one year - when ABS-CBN Announced to move from that channel to GMA Network's Sister Channel, GTV, since July 1, 2023, a day after its final broadcast on TV5, where as of today, it is currently airing TVJ Productions' E.A.T. Well, as you might already know, the official YouTube Channel of CNN Philippines, that brought "News You Can Trust" to Filipinos which this was airing thru Free TV via RPN's Analog Channel 9 (Manila) and Digital RF Channel 19 (Manila), has been affected by a channel termination that YouTube made it.
In fact, the main reason why this news channel's own YouTube Account has been terminated is because YouTube received numerous third-party claims of takedown infringements regarding to their contents uploaded, which this has been a possible issuance of a false DMCA Takedown Requests made by one person.
CNN Philippines also issued a statement regarding to that issue. As per their statement, they are currently taking actions to resolve these issues to make the said YouTube Channel back available as soon as YouTube or the claimant who issued a false takedown strike resolves it.
Despite this, CNN Philippines is still active on their official website, including their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well. We'll keep you updated regarding with this situation if we are monitoring the channel's page. And lastly, it's less than a week before your SIM's Deactivated by July 25, if you don't register today!
You only have less than a week to register any of your existing, Philippine-Issued SIM Cards to keep them connected, plus you'll get some bonus perks and Registered SIM-exclusive special subscriptions!
Reminder: Beware of any scam links or posts pertaining to SIM Card Registration, including those who are illegally selling SIM Cards that has been pre-registered with their telco.
As what Globe Telecom's Promotional Post shown above, if your existing SIM card was left unregistered once the July 25, 2023 deadline was passed (which is also a final extension that the Department of Information and Communications Technology has said), you will be unable to make and receive calls or text messages, thus if in case you are trying or unable to login or logging your account with two-factor authentication enabled with a one-time PIN (especially when you are trying to change your account password in case you forgot it). Any of your remaining prepaid credits, subscription credits, rewards perks, and etc. will also be forfeited. Your number cannot be used with the same number, because a SIM Card Number is similar to "First Come, First Served" Basis.
As we stated on our Facebook Post, you should register any of your existing SIM Card that has been issued by Philippine Telco (Smart, Globe, or Dito, whichever it is operated by an MVNO or not), regardless of what service you are (postpaid or prepaid) on or before July 25, 2023. Below are the links to consider registering your SIM today before the deadline: Smart: https://smart.com.ph/simreg Globe: https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg Dito: Download the DITO App and look for the SIM Registration Button (for existing users only), or go to https://bit.ly/DITOSIMRegPHCA (for new users only) Of course, the SIM Registration of Smart, Globe and Dito are also available thru GigaLife App, GlobeOne App, DITO PH App, and New GOMO PH App (for GOMO! subscribers only) that can be downloaded on the app stores. For Postpaid Subscribers:
If your SIM Card is not issued in the Philippines (i.e. your SIM Card is issued in Argentina and it has been issued by Personal), you might need to ask your telco operator on how to register any of your existing SIM for those who have a SIM Card that has been issued outside the country. This may depend on the instructions, requirements, deadlines or jurisdictions made by your telco operator or your country, if the SIM Card Registration law is enacted in these areas outside Philippines.
