CNN Philippines is now RPTV, backed by TV5 and Nine Media
It was on February 1, 2024 when RPTV, the newest TV Channel from TV5 and Nine Media Corporation was a replacement to CNN Philippines that it shut it's operations down on the preceeding day, two hours before that day was started.
But two days prior to the time when RPTV was launched, it's former channel, CNN Philippines, has announced that the news organization will be winding down it's operations as seen on their official advisory which was shown on-air and CNN Philippines' social media accounts. On January 31, 2024 at 22h00, that channel was taken over to RPTV, on RPN's Free to Air Platforms nationwide (both on Analog and Digital, including it's flagship RF 9 on Analog and RF 19 on Digital in Mega Manila, as well as on several pay TV operators carrying this channel). RPTV boasts of news and public affars shows backed by OnePH, which was removed from TV5's DTV Service on the day of it's launch (on both DTV RF 18 and 51 in Mega Manila, and it's O&O DTV Stations of the network, as assigned on DTV Channel x.2, in Mega Manila, 5.2). Aside from these shows from OnePH, it also airs TVJ's E.A.T., PBA Basketball Tournaments, some classic hits of TV5, and documentary programs as produced from it's predecessor, such as Building Bridges and The Story Of The Filipino. You can catch RPTV's shows via RPN DTV RF 19 DT 19.2 and TV5 DTV RF 18 and 51 DT 5.2 in Mega Manila (it is also available to several Analog and Digital TV Stations of RPN and TV5 as well, you may need to run a DTV Channel Scan to find them), as well as on pay TV services, such as on Cignal (Channel 10), SatLite (Channel 9), GSat (Channel 8), SKYcable (Channel 14), and Cablelink (Channel 14). It is also available on any other Pay TV operators not mentioned in here, so consult your Pay TV Operator's social media accounts and/or website for their channel lineup or do a Cable TV Channel Surfing to find RPTV on your CATV service. CignalPlay users can also watch the said channel for free, with no monthly fees needed. DRPS One Channel reached 75 Million Overall Views on YouTube

We are deeply concerned with these fake news posts we have seen in the past and in the recent times, especially in the case of the CNN Philippines' closure by January 31, 2024. Here are the following Fake News Posts you should beware of.
In addition, we are also concerned on a Fake News post from "Laemon", claiming that the TV5 Network will change their current logo into an eerie style logo that he made from scratch, which is slated to happen by March 31, 2024. As we say, "we are concerned" on this fake news that has been allegedly made by Laemon, our verdict is FALSE because TV5 did not announce any news regarding this type of logo and rebranding. If you're in need of reporting a specific fake news that are related to Philippine TV, Radio and other related content, you can do so reporting to us by sending a message via Facebook Messenger on this website or via DRPS PHCA's OFFICIAL Communication accounts:
