We are deeply concerned with these fake news posts we have seen in the past and in the recent times, especially in the case of the CNN Philippines' closure by January 31, 2024. Here are the following Fake News Posts you should beware of: CNBC, now in the Philippines? FALSE!There is a claim from "Ollie" that a certain TV Network that has been supposedly to launch in the Philippines with the logo of CNBC, under the name, "CNBC Philippines", is about to happen very soon. OUR VERDICT: FALSE. There is no such news from NBCUniversal that CNBC will have a Philippine franchise and to be broadcast on Free TV and Pay TV. Thus, this claim is FALSE AND MISLEADING. To date, CNBC is only available as an International Channel, being seen on several Pay TV Operators in nationwide and worldwide. Several GMA and ABS-CBN News Anchors to move to RPN 9 after CNN Philippines' Closure? FALSE!There is a claim from "EJ" that once CNN Philippines' planned closure this January 31, 2024 happens, there are some ABS-CBN and GMA news anchors, namely Kara David and Dyan Castillejo will be moved to RPN very soon. OUR VERDICT: FALSE. There is no such news from their respective news anchors' social media accounts, including any parties involved in this fake news post from "EJ" that they will be moving to RPN very soon. Thus, this is FALSE and MISLEADING. TV5 to change their logo by March 31, 2024? FALSE!There is a claim from "Laemon" that the logo of your favorite Kapatid Network, TV5, is set to change with a new logo as shown at the left side portion of the Fake News Alert content at the left will be used within the effect of March 31, 2024. OUR VERDICT: FALSE. There is no such news from TV5 Network, Inc. that the Kapatid Network's own channel will be rebranded with a new logo as shown from the said claim by March 31, 2024. Thus, any claims like these are FALSE and MISLEADING. Please stay tuned to the official social media pages of TV5 for more updates. ABS-CBN to simulcast their shows on ALLTV by February 19, 2024? FALSE!There is a claim from Renzo that some of the Kapamilya Shows such as FPJ's Batang Quiapo, Linlang TV, Can't Buy Me Love, Zoomers, TV Patrol, Everybody Sing!, ASAP Natin To, I Can See Your Voice, and among many others, will soon to air on ALLTV beginning February 19, 2024. OUR VERDICT: FALSE. And it is also NOT YET CONFIRMED as of the moment - because there is no such news from ABS-CBN and AMBS (the owner and operator behind ALLTV) that your favorite Kapamilya Shows we've mentioned in here can be seen on the ALLTV Channel itself. Thus, this is FALSE and MISLEADING. To date, some of the reruns of your Kapamilya Shows of the past, such as Asintado, was only broadcast on the ALLTV. Stay tuned on the official social media accounts of ALLTV, ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN PR for more updates. Want to report fake news? We're here at DRPS PHCA to help fight against several fake news and scams. We have seen these fake news posts on several groups online, including an Instagram ad that claims to be endorsed by a popular tech reviewer on the internet. These two fake news alerts that you should beware of: TiktoClock, to be moved at 22h15 by January 29, 2024? FALSE!A certain Facebook Group Post from "Renzo" has claimed that we, DRPS PHCA, has announced or posted on our social media accounts that GMA's TiktoClock, will be moving it's timeslot to 22h15, with Saksi will also changing it's timeslot to 23h00, and this will take effect by January 29, 2024. OUR VERDICT: FALSE. We, DRPS PHCA, as well as GMA, GMA Integrated News, and TiktoClock, hasn't posted any news that TiktoClock and Saksi will make some changes to it's timeslots by January 29, 2024. Thus, this is FALSE and MISLEADING. To date, for TiktoClock, it is been broadcast on weekdays at 11h15 before Tahanang Pinakamasaya!, while Saksi will also air on weekdays at 22h50. If you have seen any claims like these, they are FALSE and MISLEADING. Did Unbox Diaries endorsed "Avafit" Smartwatch? FALSE and SCAM!There is a Facebook and Instagram Ad from "Unbox Diaries Daily Vlogs" Facebook Page and "unboxdiariesdaily3" Instagram Account has been advertised a post, claiming that a dropshipped smartwatch named "Avafit" has been endorsed by Unbox Diaries, with the smartwatch has also claimed that it has a titanium frame, OLED Display, and many other features as mentioned on their ad. OUR VERDICT: FALSE AND SCAM. If you previously went to a website that relates to the ad, or if you've just bought one from there, that is a SCAM, because if your item was arrived upon ordering, you will receive a wrong item that is probably "Made in China" (sometimes the look and/or the specifications are different than from the original), and it was meant to be a "dropshipped" product being sold through AliExpress or Alibaba, an e-commerce website that were originated from China. In addition, there is NO SUCH NEWS from Unbox Diaries that he has endorsed or reviewed the said smartwatch, which means this news is FAKE, citing for the spelling for SmartWatch is badly written, with the said post's photo was photoshopped to make this something real. If you received similar social media ads like this, you should DEFINITELY DON'T FALL FOR THIS as this is a SCAM PRODUCT and it is also a FAKE NEWS for using the name of Unbox Diaries on that particular ad. FALSE!A Facebook Comment from "Renzo" has posted (now deleted as of the time being) on a Facebook Post of Jeff Oli Gar TV's Alt Page regarding the December 30, 2023's listings of "Dyis Is It" on MOR Entertainment. In the said comment from Renzo, he claimed that the said radio program will also be aired on 101.9 FM under the name "Trip FM". OUR VERDICT: FALSE. This comment is FAKE and HOAX - 101.9 MHz on the FM Band in Mega Manila was not utilized at the moment, with ABS-CBN has no such news that they will be returning their FM Radio Broadcasts on the said FM Frequency Band. There is also no such news from MOR Entertainment that their radio programs will also be heard on-air, as well as there is no "Trip FM" on the actual radio broadcasts as of today. Thus, this news is FALSE and MISLEADING. The only truth is, MOR Entertainment can only be heard online exclusively via the AlTo App, available for download on Google Play and App Store. There is also a claim from the said user claiming that after that date, it shall be replaced with the return of MTB (Magandang Tanghali Bayan). OUR VERDICT: FALSE. There is no such news from ABS-CBN, ABS-CBN PR, and It's Showtime that the said noontime variety show from the said network that will air it's final broadcast by May 3, 2024, as well as the replacement to MTB on the following day. FALSE!A Facebook Post from the same user as the previous one, was published on a Facebook Group, claiming that your favorite Kapamilya Shows and Series on TV5, will no longer be broadcast within the effect of February 18, 2024.
