This is our first ever Fake News Alert posting on DRPS PHCA Online, as beginning TODAY, December 4, 2023, these alerts will be posted in here, besides the Facebook and Instagram (for these posts on our social media, it will be shortened). But anyways, PLEASE BEWARE OF THESE FAKE NEWS that are related to Philippine TV and Radio: Analog Radio Shut Off in the Philippines to happen soon? FALSE!An anonymous participant from a Facebook post has posted a claim that the Analog Radio Stations in the Philippines will expect a transition from analog to digital very soon, and has been claimed that the DICT and DRPS PHCA has announced this news. OUR VERDICT: FALSE. There is no such news from DRPS PHCA and the DICT that the Analog Radio (whether it is an AM or FM) will be transitioning into a Digital Radio very soon. Thus, the Analog Radio services will continue to operate. Any claims that this will be transitioning from analog radio to it's digital one is FALSE and MISLEADING, as well as the claim that the DRPS PHCA and DICT has announced this news are PLAGIARISM. Voice of Ho Chi Minh, now in the Philippines? FALSE!There is a claim from "Wang" that a so-called FM Radio Station named "Voice of Ho Chi Minh 2" was now available in Cauayan, Isabela, replacing the Bombo Radyo's DWIT-FM 96.1 MHz Star FM in Cauayan, that has been signed off in the past. On top of that, the station was also owned and operated by the Cauayan City Government. OUR VERDICT: FALSE. There is no such news or announcement from Voice of Ho Chi Minh that VOH-2 in Cauayan, Isabela will be broadcast on 96.1 MHz band. Voice of Ho Chi Minh is a Radio Station that has a broadcast area of only Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, and not in Cauayan, Isabela, nor the entire Philippines. The only frequencies in that particular Radio Station are: VOH-1 AM 610 KHz, VOH-2 FM 99.9 MHz, VOH-3 FM 95.6 MHz, and VOH-4 FM 87.7 MHz. There is also no such news that the Cauayan City Government including the National Telecommunications Commission that the 96.1 MHz FM Band on the radio will be utilized as a Local Government-owned Radio Station. Thus, this claim, including those you have seen are FALSE AND MISLEADING. Unannounced ABS-CBN Offerings for 2024? FALSE!A claim from "Renzo" has said that some of the ABS-CBN's well loved TV Shows and series, namely, Pira-Pirasong Paraiso, Nag-Aapoy na Damdamin, Can't Buy Me Love, Senior High will be replaced with some of the replacements as what he mentioned in the post, including a claim that The Voice Teens will have their third edition of the singing competition. OUR VERDICT: FALSE. There is no such news from ABS-CBN and other parties involved in this fake news that some of their TV Series will be replaced with their TV Shows as what he claimed in their post. In addition, there is no such news also from ABS-CBN and ITV Studios (the owner of The Voice Franchise) that they will be having their third edition of The Voice Teens Philippines. Thus, all claims from "Renzo" from his post are FALSE and MISLEADING, so please stand by for further announcements from ABS-CBN on what will be their new shows this 2024 in the coming days.
